A Power Ergo Design has been developed by the sports scientists at ASG Bike Science, experts who spend their days bike fitting the world’s best riders and athletes.
This performance profile is designed for optimal pelvic rotation, and combines a central cut out to increase blood flow, with innovative Compression Control to track the saddle’s ergonomic advantages.
The ELAN saddle allows for sufficient hip rotation as well as increased blood flow to improve ride comfort in all riding positions for long days in the saddle with a 10% increase in muscular efficiency.
The saddle is built on lightweight, durable braided carbon fiber rails, holding a carbon fiber reinforced polymer shell to give a stable yet light saddle structure. Upon this, medium density shell foam incorporated in the saddle’s ergonomic design provides ride comfort and support while maintaining its shape over time. The final product weighs in at just 199 grams in a one size fits all saddle that measures 148mm by 248mm

Together with ASG Bike Science’s professional sport science and biomechanics team, headed by Niklas Quetri and Luca E. Girardi, who carries a wealth of history in saddle making, the SCICON® team developed a product for cyclists who need a lightweight saddle with no compromise on ride comfort.
This new approach led to the development of the innovative Power Ergo Design feature and Compression Control – an intuitive system to verify the saddle’s ergonomic advantages.
